ADOPTION APPLICATION

As of February 2025, we have four dogs available for adoption:

Buster, Riggins, Blue & Rosco (bonded, inseparable pair).

ALL DOGS FULLY VETTED (SPAYED/NEUTERED, ANNUAL SHOTS, MICROCHIPPED)

Buster: Male, est. 10 years old, terrier mix. Was brought to Joanie's House with two teeth and a lot of spunk. Buster has a history of attacking birds, so a home without avian pets would be best. He weighs around 12 pounds and is a sweet boy that cannot keep his tongue in his mouth. He loves to chase squirrels and snuggle on the couch. He gets very excited about going outside and dinner time. Buster does well with humans of all sizes and other dogs and cats. Very sweet, snuggly little boy.

Riggins: 6 year old, black w/white spotting lab/pit mix. Weighs approximately 60 lbs. Riggins is a love bug. He gets along with all dogs and cats at JHAR, but will bark at and chase cats when they play. Riggins has shown signs of dominance and territorial behavior, we recommend any potential adopters not have other pets. He is very snuggly, loves a comfy bed or couch, and gets so excited to go for walks! Does VERY well on a leash. Riggins also loves to get to areas he shouldn't get to, so a strongly fenced yard and someone with time to take him on walks is best for him. He does well around humans of all ages, but is large and strong so we encourage applicants to be mindful of his size and ability.

Blue & Rosco

These little babies are a bonded pair and will not, under any circumstance, be adopted separately. They suffer from littermate syndrome and face extreme depression and anxiety when not together.

Blue and Rosco are pug, yorkie, and chihuahua mix. Blue is the tall red-colored one with an underbite. Rosco is the shorter blonde boy with sad eyes.

Both of these babies are the sweetest dogs you can imagine. They love all other dogs, cats, and humans of all ages. They are gentle and loving. They love play time and treats and snuggling together for naps. Blue barks to alert, Rosco rarely ever lets out a peep. Rosco loves to nap under covers. Blue loves treats for breakfast!

Blue weighs approx. 12 lbs, Rosco approx. 10. They are 5 years old.

I understand that a meet and greet at my above home address will be required.

I understand that upon application approval, I agree to pay the applicable adoption fee (between $75 - $150, you will be notified in reply to this application). This fee is considered a donation to JHAR and is non-refundable. Some dogs have adoption fees fully sponsored.

I understand that Joanie's House Animal Rescue has an open return policy, in which the adopted pet may be returned at any point, no questions asked (unless in extreme cases in which law enforcement are involved).
